What They're saying...
Perhaps our best testimonial is from 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility and their coverage of the 2003 CoolRide event in their February 2004 feature story. But don't take our word for it... read on.
What a great two days of wheeling we had... how do you run another ho-hum trail after that experience?! Friday was good with a couple of big water crossings and some rock and steep off-camber hills, but Saturday was awesome! We hit every type of terrain thanks to our guide. Paragon... A great time with good people and awesome terrain. - James, attendee
Coolride rocked! Thanks, JonFund. I liked it so much I still haven't left yet - Crispy and I are going to try to get more than 3 hours of sleep tonight at the Genetti before we tighten up the truck and rumble home. Our guide for Friday and Saturday, Grant, was my hero for the weekend because he let me take the big turtle up the NEUROC competition hill - it was the highlight of my wheeling weekend.

Anyway this was by far the best wheeling event I've been to yet. Food was great, people were great and the wheeling was awesome!

I thought CoolRide was all around a great time. I can't wait until the next time I get out with the JonFund. - Justin, attendee
Your group was very polite and very nice. I noticed a lot of camaraderie between everyone. It was neat to see 5 guys pitch in to help when one guy broke on the trail. I have seen a lot of clubs come through here but have not seen many come through that were as tight knit as your club is.

The wheeling was top notch. The trails were awesome. The food was excellent. Everyone got to know each other a little better off the trail, and build stronger bonds. Everyone was helpful and cooperative. The prizes were spectacular. Overall good event.

I thought CoolRide was tremendous. The best part was getting to know other JonFunders better.

I want to say how much fun my nephew and I had wheeling with all of you this past weekend. I've been on weekend long trail rides before with Rover Groups, but have never been on something of this caliber. The JonFund really knows how to put on a show and that's why I will stay a member for years to come. Saturday and Sunday I had the time of my life. Driving on some of the most challenging trails I have ever been on, taking in the great wilderness surroundings, and hanging out with a great bunch of JonFunders was just the type of getaway I needed. My Rover Survived! But not without its casualties. Both rear quarter panels were badly smashed, destroyed the tie rods, something happened to my ARB Locker, and some big round thingy fell off my front axle. I guess that's what happens when you have the smallest tires in the fleet. Still kept up with the big boys though. Can't wait to drive my truck to the Rover Dealer tomorrow still covered in mud and buy my needed parts. The rumble from the engine should bring them all out for a look. Once again thanks to everyone for such a great weekend.

So, CoolRide was FUUNNN!!!!!! First off, I want to make sure I thank everybody. Everybody who participated and everybody who helped out behind the scenes. I want to personally thank each of you for making this such a fun time for me and Jeff (and lots of others). I also want to thank anybody who helped out on the trails or in the park, on the CB or at the campgrounds. It was the effort and spirit of every single person that made the weekend so fun. We went on the harder trail on Saturday, despite not having lockers, and did pretty good I think. It put a big, permanent smile on my face, that's for sure. As everyone keeps mentioning, the food was yummy. Example: you know how at most buffets there's a vat of runny, slimy, scary scrambled eggs? Well, this caterer had wonderfully fried eggs with cheese in 'em instead! It's little things like that that make all the difference. That about covers it, I think. Hope to see you all in the woods very soon!

Something I feel is unique about this sport - There is no other outdoor sport I know of that could possibly bring people of such diverse backgrounds together. Think about it! White collar - blue collar - no collar, short hair, long hair, blue hair - It doesn't matter. It's all good. As for CoolRide - this was a great event. As a prospective new member I liked what I saw. As for the park - I would say that I went beyond what I thought I was capable of and that only goes to show you how important good spotters are. I want to go back. I learned more about spotting this weekend than I ever would have, had I not been in Paragon. As for all of you - thanks for making me feel like part of the group. It was a great weekend.

It was a blast! The food was excellent, the accommodations very good and the off road park - EXELLENT. I want to go back...NOW!. Can we do CoolRide every weekend? I liked it so much I would not mind. My special Thanks to everyone involved in this event, we could not have done it without you. I'm looking forward to CoolRide next year but I do not know if I can wait that long (can we say FieldTrip?). This event reminded me of Trailfest of past years - actually in my opinion CoolRide was better than Trailfest! The JonFund has a good thing going - keep it rolling!
